Meet the artisans behind the brand’s luxury goods that are built to last a lifetime.

Luxury. Quality. Craftsmanship. Timeless. The brand Hermès is synonymous with these terms for good reason.

Founded in 1837 by the Thierry Hermès, the brand has been producing luxury goods like the infamous Kelly bag, named after Grace Kelly, vibrant silk scarves and leather goods, all wrapped up in their signature orange box.

Detroit is one of only two U.S. cities the Hermès In the Making exhibition is making a stop in. The exhibit showcases the craftsmanship, artistry and dedication to perfection that goes into the making of their silk scarves, ceramics, leather goods and more.

In a world of fast fashion and instant gratification, it is inspiring to see the Hermès commitment to sustainability and creating good that are meant to last a lifetime.

The exhibit is free and open to the public from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm from Friday, June 9 to Wednesday, June 15.
